    • Elizabeth Ann is recorded as a widow in the 1898 marriage register entry for her marriage to Edward Furmidge. Her married name is Jenkins and her maiden-name is Hall. She appears to have previously married William Jenkins at St Peter’s, Nottingham in 1876 and is recorded with William in the 1881 England census (they have no children co-resident with them), living in Ilkeston, Derbyshire (Class: RG11, Piece: 3327, Folio: 131, Page: 27). By 1891 she is resident with Edward Furmidge, described as a “relative” at 21 Newstead Street, Bulwell, Nottinghamshire (1891 England census: Class: RG12, Piece: 2673, Folio: 55, Page: 16). William Jenkins is also resident in Bulwell, living with Eliza Charlton (and 2 children) who is described in the census as his “paramour” (1891 England census: Class: RG12, Piece: 2672, Folio: 115, Page: 24). William Jenkins appears to have died in 1897, leaving Elizabeth Ann free to marry Edward Furmidge in 1898.
