| Notes |
- William was a mariner in the merchant service (as were his brothers Henry and James). He is recorded in the Register of Masters for 1845 & 1846, involved in the home trade and based out of Cowes. In 1866, he was the owner and master of a vessel “Three Brothers”, registered at Wootton Bridge, Isle of Wight. William’s surname is recorded as Furmage in the GRO Death Index but as Furmidge in his burial record.
