| Notes |
- A teacher by occupation, John Roscoe enlisted in the Royal Signals as a Private on 30th October 1941. He transferred to the Intelligence Corps in November 1942 and was employed at GHQ for several months in charge of the wartime education for the 1500 “other ranks” of the Unit. From January 1943 to April 1946 he served in India. He was discharged from the army on 12th July 1946 with the rank of Sergeant. (Source: Service Records of J.
