Notes

An entry in the GRO Death Index cannot be found for Henry however from burial records he appears to have died in 1853. His surname has been recorded as Furmadge in the burial register transcript. In the 1851 England census he is enumerated in the same household as his brothers William (who is married) and James, all three recorded as Mariners (Wootton Bridge, Isle of Wight: Class: HO107, Piece: 1663, Folio: 448, Page: 12). There is a possible record for him for 1846 in the Merchant Navy Register of Masters 1845-1854 (The National Archives BT115 / 4, digital image accessed on www.findmypast.co.uk).
