- George Churches age is recorded as 72 years old on both the GRO death index and his burial record which would mean he was born about 1842 and not about 1836 as suggested by other sources. His address, however, is recorded as Midland Avenue, Stroud in his burial record which is the same address as recorded in his wife, Frances’ burial record and in Frances’ sister, Emma Furmidge’s death certificate and burial register entry. All three were buried at Slad, Gloucestershire.
