• Notes

  Myrtle has two entries in the GRO Marriage Index for Apr-Jun 1951, one as Myrtle Thomas and the other as Myrtle Carter, indicating that she was most probably a divorcee. Her entry in the 1939 Register supports that her maiden-name was Thomas and that she married at least twice after 1939 (Carter & Furmedge). Her first marriage was to Edward V H Carter in 1941. She then married Charles Norman Furmedge in 1951. In 1982, after the death of Charles, she appears to have married Frederick F C Binstead (he died in 2017).
