  • Notes 
    • Eleanor’s age is recorded as 30 years in her 1885 parish marriage register entry, giving a calculated year of birth of about 1855. She was significantly older than her spouse, Walter Craft (who also recorded an incorrect age), and it is possible that a lower age was recorded to make it appear that their ages were more similar than they actually were. This age discrepancy giving Eleanor a birth year of about 1855 is maintained in the subsequent 1891 and 1901 England census (1891: Grove Hill, Beverley, Yorkshire, Reference: Class: RG12, Piece: 3909, Folio: 31, Page: 15. 1901: Corn Market Hill, Howden, Yorkshire, Reference: RG13, Piece: 4458, Folio:44, Page: 5), in the GRO Death Index and her parish burial record.
