Emma Louisa is alternatively recorded as Emily L or Emily Louise, for example in the GRO Marriage Index and 1939 Register; her entry in the National Probate Calendar records both versions of her given name. Her year of birth appears to be erroneously recorded as 1897 in the 1939 Register; her birth certificate confirms she was born 14 December 1891. The address at which she and her husband are living in 1939, however, is also the address recorded on her husband’s death certificate (1941) and her entry in the National Probate Calendar (1958). Emma died at Whittington Hospital, Archway, London.
