The initial data collection and family reconstruction for the Furmedge & Furmidge surnames recorded in the England & Wales Civil Registration Indexes and Census for the period 1837 to 1921 is complete. For some individuals data collection has broadened into other areas of the world namely: Australia, Canada, Channel Islands (Guernsey & Jersey), Ireland, South Africa and USA. Also, additional sources such as Parish Registers, the National Probate Calendar etc. have been called upon as needed.

Initial data collection for the variant Furmage surname in England & Wales (1837 to 1921) has also now been completed. This incorporated some families and individuals registered with or using variant spellings Furmadge and Firmage. Research has also once again expanded into other regions including Scotland, South Africa and USA. Family reconstruction is ongoing and new families will be added to the website on an ongoing basis.
