    • Charles’ surname appears to have been recorded as Furmedge in his entry in the baptism entry at Winfrith (Burton Chapel), Dorset. As there were other Furmedge families living in Winfrith, this is possibly an understandable error made by the recorder. He is recorded as Furmage in the GRO Birth Index.
