• Notes

  David’s burial entry transcript records that he died at Cefn Mably Hospital which was in the St Mellons region of Cardiff. In the 1920s, when David was there, it was in use as a tuberculosis sanatorium. It later became a general hospital and closed in the 1980s. His burial transcript also provides his residential address: 64, Edward Street. By 1939, his wife Sarah had re-married and is living with her husband at 64, Edward Street, Pengam, Bedwellty, Monmouthshire (1939 Register, Class: RG101, Piece: 7439B).
