    • George appears to have been erroneously recorded as the son of Joseph and Caroline Furmage (instead of Henry and Caroline) in the baptism register. The GRO Birth Index confirms that his mother’s maiden name was Stockley and a child named George appears in the 1861 England census with Henry and Caroline (West Street, Corfe Castle: Class: RG9, Piece: 1344, Folio: 18, Page: 29).
