Louisa Jane’s baptism record records her date of birth as 23 April 1852; her birth certificate confirms she was born 25 April 1854. She is the daughter of Thomas Norbury, a draper (in 1854; commercial traveller in 1863), and Eliza Jane Norbury (formerly Warr). They were living at 34, Smithfield, London both at the time the birth was registered and in 1863 when Louisa Jane was baptised. Note: Her mother, Eliza Jane, is believed to have died in 1857.
