| Notes |
- Edgar Gill appears to be recorded in East Sussex Electoral Registers between about 1897 and his death residing at 27, Frederick Gardens, Brighton, Sussex (digital images accessed on www.ancestry.co.uk; original data: East Sussex Record Office). Neither Edgar nor Matilda Elizabeth are enumerated at this address in the 1901 England census nor can they be located elsewhere (1901 England census entry for 27, Frederick Gardens, Brighton, Sussex: Class: RG13, Piece: 930, Folio: 16, Page: 23). Edgar’s 1903 death certificate also records his address and place of death as 27, Frederick Gardens, Brighton; the informant is M. E. Gill, widow of the deceased. His occupation is recorded as “valet (domestic)” possibly suggesting that he was normally resident with his employers.
