| Notes |
- Alfred Cammidge joined the Royal Irish Rifles on 16 May 1894 and served until discharged on 15 May 1906. His service was as follows: “Home” (England) 16 May 1894 to 9 Feb 1897; East India 10 Feb 1897 to 15 Feb 1899, “Home” 16 Feb 1899 to 24 Oct 1899; South Africa 25 Oct 1899 to 12 Sep 1902; “Home” 13 Sep 1902 to 15 May 1906. He was awarded the Queen and Kings South Africa Medal with clasp.
His civil occupation was as a carpenter and joiner. He was admitted to the Amalgamated Society of Carpenters & Joiners, Wimbledon branch on 29 August 1904, transferring to the Balham branch on 25 Aug 1905. There is a note that he was “excluded” in 1909. On 12 April 1912 he was admitted to the Battersea Branch of the General Union of Carpenters and Joiners.
