  Stanley’s year of birth was initially recorded as 1908 in the 1939 Register. There appears to have been an update made however the updated year is unclear. Initial research suggests he was born in 1908, the son of Annie Goodere (formerly Haynes) and Arthur Wallis. A possible entry in the GRO death index (Oct-Dec 1978) records his date of birth as 01 May 1909.
