Notes

The only reference found to Jennie R. Furmage’s middle name is in her newspaper marriage notice where she is recorded as Jennie Rose Furmage. It is alternatively plausible that her middle name was Ross, which was her grandmother’s maiden name. After her marriage she appears to be recorded as Jennie F. Kimball or Jennie Furmage Kimball. There are no birth records for Washington, District of Columbia, prior to 1874 to confirm which is correct and no baptism record has been identified to date.
