| Notes |
- No entry for Richard in the GRO Birth Index has been identified to date.
Richard was an assistant guard employed by the South Western Railway Company. He died whilst working as the rear guard on a late night train in the area of Twickenham and New Hampton, Surrey. At an inquest, his death was deemed accidental and it was concluded that he had been looking out of the train for a signal when he had been struck by a scaffold pole, at a bridge that was under repair, and subsequently drawn through the window of the train. A subscription was opened at Twickenham Station to raise money for his widow.
