  • Notes 
    • The last will and testament of Joseph Furmedge, Farmer of Campdown, St Austell, Cornwall was made 26th September 1866 with his son, Joseph Furmedge (the younger) Carpenter & Wheelwright of Campdown, as sole executor. Bequests were: (1) The leasehold house which was the abode of the deceased and one-third of the leasehold tenement in Campdown with farm stock to his daughter Louisa Hill (wife of George Hill); (2) The leasehold house in which his son Joseph Furmedge (the younger) lived and had built himself to Joseph Furmedge (the younger) in addition to two-thirds of the leasehold tenement in Campdown with farm stock; (3) His remaining personal estate to his wife, Tabitha. The will was witnessed by Edmund Carlyon (Solicitor, St Austell) and John Lamerton of Holmbush, Miner. Probate was granted 20th April 1867. (Source: Will obtained from www.gov.uk).
