Charles Richard’s surname in his death certificate is recorded as Furmadge and his age (27 years) suggests a year of birth of 1828-1829. He is recorded as being a Draper’s Assistant from Winchester and died at the Consumption Hospital in Brompton, London. The Hampshire Advertiser records that he died in London “after a lingering illness”.
