  Elizabeth was a widow on her marriage to Vincent Furmidge in 1902. She had previously married George Holmes on 11th June 1879 at St Jude’s, Moorfields, Sheffield. George was a widower at the time of the marriage and was 44 years old (Parish Register, PR141/2/2 (alternative reference: PR141/8), Page: 107; digital image accessed on www.ancestry.co.uk; original data: Sheffield Archives). George Holmes is not enumerated with his wife in either the 1891 or 1901 England census however Vincent Furmidge is enumerated in the same household as a Lodger / Boarder (Class: RG12, Piece: 2681, Folio: 63, Page 8 (note: Vincent’s age is recorded as 26); & Class: RG13, Piece: 3188, Folio: 40, Page: 21).
